Privacy notice

We respect your privacy and handle personal information as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) requires. Kirby's Pet and Pool World is the responsible party.

What we collect and why

• When you order: your name, email address, mobile number and what you bought. We use this to take payment, prepare your order, tell you when it is ready and handle returns.
• When you contact us: your name, email address, optional phone number and message, so we can reply. Messages are kept for up to 2 years.
• When you join our list: your email address, to send deals and new-stock alerts. You can unsubscribe from any email. If you tick the box at checkout, you are joining this list.
• When you browse: simple counts of page views and button clicks, so we can improve the site. These are not linked to your name or email, and we do not use advertising cookies.

Who sees it

• Our payment provider, who takes your card payment on their secure page. We never see or store your card details.
• Our email service, which sends your order emails and our list emails.
• Our website host and database provider, who store the information for us.

We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 5 years, as tax and consumer law require. Email list details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted (where the law allows). You may also complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
